Electronic Waste Disposal
Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10 am – 2 pm

Keep Electronic Waste out of our landfills. EPA estimates that about 60% of discarded electronics end up in trash. Hazardous chemicals in them could leach out of landfills into the groundwater and streams.

E-waste collection Saturday, April 20, 10 – 2, on the west side of the former West Elementary School. Accepting computers, accessories, cables, small home appliances, almost anything with a cord, used printer cartridges, and household batteries. Drop off FREE, except a small charge for CRT TV’s.

We will be collecting a wide assortment of electronic waste, including:

  • Computer Towers and Laptops
  • Monitors
  • Servers
  • Printers
  • Circuit Boards
  • Mobile Phones
  • Telephone Systems
  • Routers, Switches, UPS
  • Video Equipment
  • Cables, Plugs, Wiring
  • Home Entertainment Equipment (VCR, DVD, Stereo Equipment)
  • Home Appliances (microwaves, toaster ovens, toasters, etc.)
  • Power Tools
  • Pretty much anything with an electrical cord

In honor of Earth Day the Earth Week Plus Committee’s mission is to increase awareness of environmental issues and to provide an opportunity for local families to learn about nature and how we can preserve it for future generations.
